General Policies
Use of Lavatories
Students may use lavatories between classes and during lunch without a pass. Students are permitted in lavatories during class periods only with a pass.
Emergency Drills
The signal for a drill will be a continuous bell sound. At the signal everyone will leave the building in an orderly, silent manner. Each drill is to be treated as an actual emergency. Adherence to these rules will be strictly enforced for the safety of all students and staff.
Alternative Learning Environment
Alternative Learning Environment is for students that cannot be in the classroom with one staff member. If one staff member cannot handle a student in the classroom that their assigned to in that period of timing, the staff member will be forced to call for "staff assistance" or "immediate staff" to that classroom. If the staff member cannot take the student anymore, the staff member will be forced to send them to the ALE classroom. The ALE classroom is supervised by two staff members, which is the teacher - assistant teacher. The classroom ALE assistant teacher helps out the teacher assisting them to make it out of ALE and assisting students with the helps they need to stay in one period classroom. The classroom ALE teacher teaches students who have been sent to ALE to become a positive role model and help them learn how to stay in one classroom with one staff member and act appropriately with one staff member.

Here at Bloxport Middle School there has been students bullying in classrooms. Bullying doesn't solve the problem and can create a lot of drama. If a student does get bullied in a classroom with one staff member, the staff member will be forced to direct the student to "ALE" immediately. We can all stop bullying by being friendly and keeping Bloxport Middle School a positive and fun learning environment.
Student Discipline
Lunch ALE
Lunch ALE is minor infractions of the school rules, such as tardiness to class (3 times), minor class disruptions, roaming the halls without a pass. Refusal to serve ALE, or removal from ALE may result in the assignment of after school ALE.
After school ALE
After-school ALE is assigned for major infractions of school rules, such as tardiness to class, major class disruptions, roaming the halls without a pass. Cutting class, Back talking to the teacher. Refusal to serve ALE, or removal from ALE may result in the assignment of SUSPENSION. Continued refusal to serve ALE may result as to getting EXPELLED.
Student Dress Code
All students are expected to give proper attention to personal cleanliness and to dress appropriately for school and school functions including extracurricular and athletic activates. Teachers and all other school administrators should exemplify and reinforce acceptable student dress code and help students develop an understanding of appropriate appearance in the school setting and at school activities.
How students should not dress
No exposure to underwear
No short, shorts or spaghetti strap shirts.
No inappropriate stockings
No belly shirts
No sagging pants
No inappropriate skirts
No items that are vulgar, obscene, libelous or denigrate of account of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, gender or gang related. All other clothing’s will be allowed in the school.
